Good Morning Raspberries!
Farmer Tom's raspberry crop is now available in the Barn Market.
Springridge is growing and harvesting delicious raspberries again! Over the last two seasons, we planted new canes and our raspberries are now available, freshly picked.
Try this recipe from our friends at Foodland Ontario for Raspberry Sorbet:
Fresh Raspberry Sorbet
Capture the luscious taste of Ontario Fruit in this easy frozen sorbet. Taste the fruit mixture before freezing and adjust the sweetness level to suit your family's preference. With only three ingredients, this sorbet is easy to make, delicious to eat and here's a dessert bonus -- it's fat-free too!
Chilling Time: 1 to 2 hours
Freezing Time: 20 to 30 minutes
about 2-2/3 cups (650 mL)
2-1/2 cups (625 mL) Ontario Raspberries, puréed and sieved
1/2 cup (125 mL) Ontario Liquid Honey
1/4 cup (50 mL) white corn syrup
Combine puréed fruit, honey and corn syrup; chill until very cold. Stir well and pour into ice-cream maker. Freeze according to manufacturer's directions.
